Mandoza, South Africas’ kwaito star has died at the age of 38

Legendary South African kwaito musician Mandoza has passed away at 38 years of age.”

The 38-year-old died after battling cancer of the brain for about a year. Known for his hits such as 50 -50 and Godoba , Mandoza passed away today while on his way to hospital with his wife after he experienced trouble breathing.

It was the singer’s hit Nkalakatha that made him a household name in South Africa in 2001. The track became one of the most recognised songs on radio in the country and won the Song Of The Year category at the South African Music Awards in 2001.
